Export the RibbonControls folder, using the Export option in the contextual menu.Browse to key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Autodesk\AutoCAD\R22.0\ACAD-1001:409.Note : Export the two registry keys into two separate files on the disk. Right-click on the “VaAcAddin” and “VaAcStartupUI” registries and select Export from the contextual menu.Browse to the key named HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Autodesk\AutoCAD\R22.0\ACAD-1001:409\Applications\.Type “regedit” in the Windows start menu to open the Windows Registry Editor.Note : The registries are stored under the HK Local Machine category, so you will need to have Administrator rights in order to successfully apply this solution. Therefore, besides the missing Vault interface access buttons, the program itself fails to load, which means that manually inputting the Vault commands will not work either.īecause this issue originates from missing registries, the solution is to create those registries in the relevant Advance Steel registry branch, as a copy of the ones installed by Autodesk Vault in the AutoCAD registry branches. Due to the separate branches and the missing registries, the Vault application is ignored during startup. With the Advance Steel transition to an integrated AutoCAD application, starting with the 2018 version, the Autodesk Vault application does no longer install its required registers in the separate branch that Advance Steel creates. In the scenario where AutoCAD 2018 already exists on the machine (as a standalone installation or as a different 2018 version, such as Mechanical, Civil 3D, etc.) the issue will not appear, and Autodesk Vault will work by default with Advance Steel 2018. This issue appears only when Advance Steel is installed together with AutoCAD. Autodesk Vault no longer loads in Advance Steel 2018, even if with AutoCAD 2018 or other AutoCAD-based applications it works correctly.
